Denmark is located on the South West Coast of Western Australia, 414 Kilometres south east of Perth, in the Great Southern Region along the Rainbow Coast. Denmark has natural attractions galore and a mild climate all year round making it the perfect destination.



The tall forests merge with the pristine white sandy beaches, the magnificent Southern Ocean and the ancient rocks. It sits astride the beautifully curving Denmark River as it gracefully flows into the Wilson Inlet and around 5000 people call it home. Denmark is in an amazing location. The happy and peaceful locals are very welcoming of visitors creating a wonderfully friendly small-town atmosphere that will having you returning time and time again. It is one of the most historic, stylish and most naturally beautiful destinations in the world.


Nature lovers like Denmark for its pristine beaches, world-class walking trails, prolific wildlife, undulating landscape, ancient beautiful places with an abundance of spectacular scenery, flora and fauna. Denmark town centre is peaceful, with no traffic lights and a host of wonderful places to shop as well as delightfully delicious restaurants and cafes.









Denmark is home to artisans, so everywhere you see evidence of their creativity dotted around! The ambiance is relaxed and with everything is so close together it is truly a place of peace. The Wilson Inlet is fed from the Denmark and Hay Rivers and is less than a kilometre south of town. It is almost fifty square kilometres of water and is 14 km long and 4km wide. It is separated from the sea by a sandbar.


It is a sanctuary for Black Swans and has been for hundreds of years. Denmark, is known to the aboriginal community as Glimpses of Denmark. Set amongst rolling hills on tree covered shores on the banks of the Denmark River on the edge of the Southern Ocean.

You can learn to surf and experience the thrill of the ocean. Ocean Beach is a popular surfing beach and the home of South Coast Neunuebel. If you have been lucky enough to learn surfing from Mike passionate, informative and fabulous with children Mike is an accredited instructor in surfing and ocean awareness.




WILLIAM BAY NATIONAL PARK, DENMARK WA



William Bay There are so many reasons to make sure you visit William Bay National Park, just a few km west of Denmark. The iconic Greens Pool, mysterious Elephant Rocks, the long stretch of Mazzoletti Beach, the stone giants upon Tower Hill, the island off of Madfish Bay and the streaming waterfall at Waterfall Beach.







.. wow! Really, this is one of our favourite places. The giant elephants stand together facing into the waves of the Great Southern Ocean, t feels as if time has stopped as you gaze out to sea.


Reach the beach through a boulder pass. Elephant Cove and the Elephant Rocks are one of our favourite places on the coast. The approach is down a length of stairs and between two of these stone giants, emerging onto the beach at the back of the was a birthing ground for aboriginal women for thousands of years. It is truly a sacred space. Elephant Cove & Elephant Rocks are in William Bay National Park. Fifteen kilometers to the west of Denmark is the magical Greens Pool.


Almost completely sheltered from the waves by the rounded rock boulders, Greens Pool is paradise. Tower Hill is located a few kilometres north of Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks and Cove which are at the eastern end of the William Bay National Park. 45 minute steady bush climb that is well worth it!

DENMARK FORESTS & WALKS



Monkey Rock has spectacular views over William Bay Nat. Park, Ratcliffe Bay, Ocean Beach and the Nullaki Peninsula. The 4 km return walk from the car park is quite an climb, so come prepared. The Bridge is easily accessed from Denmark Town driving south along tables and a gazebo set for tourists.


The Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk You have the opportunity to walk up and into the tops of the trees on a safe metal walkway suspended high in the air. Suitable for all ages and completely safe, anyone can feel the power of the Giant Tingle trees.







You can walk up in the tree tops or stay grounded at the Ancient Empire Walk. There is a visitor information centre, shop, facilities and picnic tables to enjoy an afresco lunch in a beautiful setting. Unique visitor experience.
